Happy Birthday To Me

It's my birthday today. Well, not really. You see, there exists this odd phenomenon in a baby's first year of life. Parents seem to want to celebrate every month anniversary of their baby's date of birth during that first year. Perhaps what the parents are really celebrating is their own survival each month that passes by. Just call me Weston Freud...

Regardless, today apparently marks a momentous day. A day of joy and celebration... for M & D, that is. For me, today was a day of somewhat cruel and unusual punishment. I was subjected to an hour-long photo shoot. That's right. One hour of being propped up on pillows and blankets (and, mind you, I still cannot aptly hold my head up on my own), with a camera in my face and bright lights flashing.

It was kind of fun... for the first 10 mins. I was a good sport, though, because it seemed so important to mommy. I even flashed a few smiles, which were received with squeals of delight. But after the 60-minute mark, I'd had enough of this nonsense (see evidence of my meltdown below).

Now, behold the fruits of our labor. And, okay, I have to hand it to mommy, we got A LOT of pretty great shots.

Love,
WFT
