Bear Down

One might not surmise this judging from the pictures below, but I am a very big Bears fan. This past Sunday was the season opener, so mommy and daddy dressed me in Bears colors (my jumper is navy blue and orange even though it looks black in the pics) because they've yet to buy me proper Bears attire (much to my dismay... whatever will I do with these derelict parents of mine) and took me out to see the game.

We met mommy and daddy's friends Tabitha and Micah at a pretty cool bar (although daddy will point out it's a bar "and grille" to make himself feel better about bringing a two-week-old baby to a bar) called Derby Bar. It has a pretty sweet outdoor patio which is where we sat (see the picture of me under the flat screen television below). Sure, people may have stared when I got a little cranky halfway through the game (because the Bears were losing, of course) and mommy had to breastfeed me, but whatever. NBD. I'm a baby about town.

Tabitha and Micah have a beautiful baby girl named Hadley who's about 2 months older than me and who, despite our age difference, will be my girlfriend one day. I think she may actually already be my girlfriend, even though we've never really properly interacted. She sat in her car seat and I in mine during the entire Bears game... only a table, yet seemingly miles, apart.  I'm still trying to figure out how baby relationships are supposed to work.

Oh, and if a certain someone named Avery is reading this in NYC, she need not worry. Avery, we will meet one day and you will be my New York girlfriend (a boy's allowed to have different girlfriends in different states, right?).

A special thanks to cousins Jaime and Alexandra in NYC for sending me the very cool jumper I wore on Sunday. Without it, my parents would have been in a real bind for the game, and I would have given them real hell about it.

Love,
WFT
